<image:title>Home - Welcome, I’m glad you’re here.</image:title>
<image:caption>If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, grief, relationship struggles, trauma, or the sheer weight of being human lately, you do not have to carry it alone. I offer individual and grief therapy in Boulder, Colorado, for adults seeking a deeper sense of connection, self-understanding, and emotional steadiness. My approach is warm, relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that healing happens when we are met with curiosity, compassion, and genuine attunement. Together, we might explore the patterns that no longer serve you, tend to the parts of yourself that have had to work hard to survive, and create more space for safety, softness, honesty, and self-trust. My work is holistic and body-aware, drawing from somatic therapy, mindfulness, parts work, Gestalt, and traditional talk therapy. Whether we are supporting your nervous system, processing grief, navigating life transitions, or making sense of long-held emotional wounds, all parts of you are welcome here. Therapy is not about fixing what is broken. It is about reconnecting with yourself in a deeper, more compassionate way. If you’re feeling ready, or even just curious, I’d be honored to connect with you. Reach out to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.</image:caption>

<image:caption>If you’ve spent any time with horses you may already know that they’re kind of magical. Their big bodies and gentle nature can be really soothing for our nervous systems. And much like humans they are hardwired for connection. They rely on one another for survival. How can horses help? We’ve all heard the phrase, “Pull yourself up by your bootstraps,” but that is physically impossible. Why must we figure everything out on our own? When we spend time with horses we begin to see how they work together to get their needs met. They are in constant communication with one another and when we step into their space, they are in communication with us. You might feel calmer after spending time with these special animals. They are always in the present moment with us. It’s true! Their brain structure doesn’t allow for future or past thinking.</image:caption>

<image:title>Equine Therapy - What does a session look like?</image:title>
<image:caption>Equine sessions are typically one-hour long. You’ll join me at the Medicine Horse barn in east Boulder where I will introduce you to our herd which includes horses, donkeys, mini-horses, and the occasional barn cat and dog. As you get to know the animals on our team we have the option to work individually with the horse of your choosing. Typically we build relationship with this equine partner over many sessions so that you can begin to better know one another. Relating to the horses can look like leading, grooming, bathing, or simply spending time with them. I often incorporate mindfulness and grounding practices into these sessions. Being present helps us to better connect with our horse partner. As you work with horses you might notice a calming effect. You may begin to feel into your body more. Emotions might feel bigger. When we open ourselves to the wisdom that horses offer, we can learn how to better be with ourselves too.</image:caption>

<image:title>About - Hello—I’m so glad you’re here.</image:title>
<image:caption>I love the work that I do. Many years ago, I was sitting in a therapist’s office in the client seat myself, beginning my own healing journey. Since then there have been winding roads, detours, difficult seasons, and meaningful shifts that have deeply shaped both my life and how I work as a therapist today. My own experiences in therapy continue to inform my approach. The work I invite clients into is work I have likely practiced myself in one way or another. I understand how vulnerable it can feel to begin therapy, to trust someone new, and to slowly let yourself be seen. A large part of my own healing came from learning how to feel safer within myself — building self-trust, self-compassion, and a greater sense of home internally. As corny as that may sound sometimes, I mean it fully when I say that this process changed my life. My Approach to Therapy I offer a gentle, relational, and trauma-informed approach to psychotherapy that includes: clear boundaries honest feedback nervous system awareness consistent attunement curiosity over judgment I work with adults navigating anxiety, grief, shame, perfectionism, relationship struggles, overwhelm, life transitions, and trauma-related experiences. My therapeutic style integrates mindfulness, somatic work, parts work, Gestalt therapy, and traditional talk therapy. I believe healing often happens through a combination of insight, emotional safety, embodied awareness, and supportive relationship. I also believe therapy does not need to be performative or perfect. We can bring humor, honesty, uncertainty, contradiction, and humanity into the room together. Community, Play & Being Human When I’m not working, I’m often somewhere in the mountains. I’ve been a climber for many years and am currently enthralled with trail running. I also love dancing in community, which sometimes includes ecstatic dance and occasionally popping into the local rave scene. I’m a devoted fan of the Real Housewives franchise for any fellow Bravo lovers, and I have an orange tabby named Jeff who occasionally makes an appearance during virtual therapy sessions. Education & Training I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Naropa University and completed an 18-month internship at Medicine Horse, where I received training in Equine-Facilitated Therapy. My work is grounded in ongoing learning, self-reflection, and a deep respect for the therapeutic relationship. Therapy in Boulder & Online Across Colorado I offer individual therapy and grief counseling for adults in Boulder, Colorado, and virtual therapy throughout Colorado. If you’d like to explore whether we may be a good fit, I invite you to reach out to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Being a teen can be really tough. While it’s a time of exploration, growth, and learning, teens are also navigating social pressures, grades, body image, sports, and the not-so-small task of figuring out who they are in the world. As a parent understanding how to support your teen can be a difficult. It might be hard to connect or even have conversation with your child—and all you really want is the best for them. The horses and I can help! Sessions can include grooming, leading, or simply spending time with the animals. We have mini horses, mini donkeys, cats, dogs, and an entire herd of horses ready to connect with your teen. I incorporate horse skills, regulation tools, and mindfulness practices into our sessions. I also give your teen the space to explore what they need, which will benefit the entire system. I occasionally invite caregivers to join us in session so that your teen might have space to share what they need and what they’re going through with you. <image:title>Relationship Counseling - Equine Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>You’re struggling with connection in your life and relationships are proving to be kind of difficult. You really want connection, but you’re not sure how to go about it and sometimes it’s easier to just keep your distance. The risk of rejection is just too great. It’s been hard to step into your power or take control of what’s been going on in your life—you’ve learned to be small or put others’ needs before your own. How can horses help? Horses are hardwired for connection—they’re herd animals! The herd is critical to a horse’s survival in the wild and it’s kind of critical to our survival too. We’ve all heard the phrase, “Pull yourself up by your bootstraps,” but that is physically impossible. Why must we figure everything out on our own? <image:title>Couples Therapy - Couples Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>Relationship can really bring up our “stuff,” and with that can come meaningful, healing moments and really painful ones. It is normal to encounter difficulties in your relationship! And reaching out for support is an opportunity to better get to know your partner and yourself. We can all benefit from learning more sustainable and secure practices when it comes to partnership. How does it work? My work mostly pulls from the PACT model which is an experiential therapy that applies attachment theory, developmental neuroscience, and understanding our nervous system. Together with your partner you will begin to explore ways of cultivating safety and security with one another. You will expand your skills in caring for one another through conflict and begin to create clear agreements in your relationship.</image:caption>

<image:title>Individual Therapy - Individual Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>Individual therapy can offer a space to slow down, better understand yourself, and feel more supported through life’s challenges. I work with adults experiencing a variety of emotional, relational, and nervous system struggles, including: anxiety depression grief and loss low self-worth chronic shame perfectionism relationship struggles overwhelm and burnout life transitions emotional disconnection Whether these experiences are connected to trauma, neurodivergence, attachment wounds, or an especially activating season of life, therapy can help you better understand your patterns and begin building new ways of relating to yourself and others. Therapy Rooted in Curiosity, Compassion, and Self-Understanding Many of us develop coping strategies and protective systems in order to survive difficult experiences or environments. At one point, these systems likely helped us get through something important. Over time, though, they can begin to feel limiting, exhausting, or out of alignment with who we are becoming. In our work together, we focus on getting curious rather than judgmental. Therapy can help you understand the deeper roots of your anxiety, perfectionism, shame, relationship struggles, or overwhelm while creating space for new patterns to emerge. Rather than forcing change, we work toward greater awareness, self-compassion, flexibility, and connection. My Approach to Individual Therapy I work holistically and from the ground up. This means we pay attention to what may be happening not only in the mind, but also in the body, nervous system, emotions, relationships, and inner world. Together, we explore your experiences at a pace that feels supportive and manageable. My approach to therapy is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in the belief that each person already holds deep wisdom within themselves. My role is not to “fix” you, but to help create a space of safety, consistency, reflection, and guidance where healing and self-understanding can unfold. The Importance of the Therapeutic Relationship I believe the relationship we build in therapy can be deeply healing. Therapy is also a vulnerable and intimate process, and trust often takes time to develop. Because of this, I encourage us to move slowly in the beginning and create space for you to notice what feels supportive, safe, and aligned for you. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You only need a willingness to begin. Individual Therapy in Boulder & Online Across Colorado I offer individual therapy for adults in Boulder, Colorado, and virtual therapy throughout Colorado. <image:title>Grief Counseling - Grief Counseling</image:title>
<image:caption>Grief can feel like a beast, a street fight, or a never-ending black hole. It can be disorienting, infuriating, isolating, and overwhelming all at once. If you are searching for grief counseling in Boulder or online therapy in Colorado, I want to first say: welcome. Your grief matters here. I know from firsthand experience how deeply painful loss can be. Much of our culture struggles to make space for grief, sadness, and mourning. We are rarely taught how to live alongside these big feelings or how to move through loss without shutting parts of ourselves down. In grief therapy, we create space for your experience exactly as it is. You do not need to “be okay,” move on, or fit your healing into someone else’s timeline. There is no Timeline One of the hardest parts of loss is the pressure people often feel to heal quickly or return to normal. You may wonder why you are still hurting months or years later. You may feel angry, numb, anxious, detached, or emotionally exhausted. No matter how long ago your loss occurred, your grief is allowed to be here. We grieve as deeply as we love. Therapy can help you honor that love while learning how to carry grief in a way that feels more manageable and connected to your life.</image:caption>

<image:title>Grief Counseling - What Grief Counseling Can Help With</image:title>
<image:caption>Grief therapy may support you if you are experiencing: Sadness or depression after a loss Anxiety or panic related to grief Emotional numbness or disconnection Difficulty functioning day to day Anger, guilt, or regret Complicated grief Relationship struggles after loss Anticipatory grief Identity changes after losing a loved one I work with adults navigating many forms of grief and loss, including the death of a loved one, relationship loss, family estrangement, life transitions, chronic illness, and traumatic loss. Whether you feel deeply sad, confused, detached, relieved, angry, or all of these at once, there is space for your full experience in our work together. My approach to grief counseling is warm, grounded, relational, and trauma-informed. Together, we can explore ways to process your grief without pushing it away or minimizing what you have been through. I offer grief counseling both in-person in Boulder or virtual sessions across Colorado. Please reach out to set up a free 15-minute phone consultation if you’d like to learn more.</image:caption>
