      <image:title>Home - Welcome, I’m glad you’re here.</image:title>
<image:caption>If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, grief, or the lingering effects of trauma, please know you don’t have to go through it alone. In my Boulder-based practice, I offer a grounded, compassionate space where you can begin to slow down, listen inward, and heal at your own pace. My approach is integrative and body-based. I draw from somatic therapy, parts work (like IFS), mindfulness, Gestalt, DBT, and CBT. Always tailored to meet you where you are. Whether we’re tending to attachment wounds, supporting your nervous system, or making space for long-held grief, I bring warmth, clarity, and deep respect for your inner process. All parts of you are welcome here. Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken—it’s about gently reconnecting with your own wisdom, strength, and capacity for self-compassion. If you're feeling ready or even just curious, I’d be honored to connect with you. Reach out to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.</image:caption>

<image:caption>If you’ve spent any time with horses you may already know that they’re kind of magical. Their big bodies and gentle nature can be really soothing for our nervous systems. And much like humans they are hardwired for connection. They rely on one another for survival. How can horses help? We’ve all heard the phrase, “Pull yourself up by your bootstraps,” but that is physically impossible. Why must we figure everything out on our own? When we spend time with horses we begin to see how they work together to get their needs met. They are in constant communication with one another and when we step into their space, they are in communication with us. You might feel calmer after spending time with these special animals. They are always in the present moment with us. It’s true! Their brain structure doesn’t allow for future or past thinking.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Equine Therapy - What does a session look like?</image:title>
<image:caption>Equine sessions are typically one-hour long. You’ll join me at the Medicine Horse barn in east Boulder where I will introduce you to our herd which includes horses, donkeys, mini-horses, and the occasional barn cat and dog. As you get to know the animals on our team we have the option to work individually with the horse of your choosing. Typically we build relationship with this equine partner over many sessions so that you can begin to better know one another. Relating to the horses can look like leading, grooming, bathing, or simply spending time with them. I often incorporate mindfulness and grounding practices into these sessions. Being present helps us to better connect with our horse partner. As you work with horses you might notice a calming effect. You may begin to feel into your body more. Emotions might feel bigger. When we open ourselves to the wisdom that horses offer, we can learn how to better be with ourselves too.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About - Hello!</image:title>
<image:caption>I’m so glad you’re here. I love the work that I do. Many years ago I was in a therapist’s office sitting in the client seat and so began my own healing path. There have been lots of winding roads, detours, and confusing off-ramps, but all-in-all I deeply trust in the therapeutic process. A big part of my own change has come from finding safety and a sense of home within myself. And while I can roll my eyes at the corny-ness of that statement I say it with my whole chest. My life changed when I began to love and trust myself more. My experiences as a client inform how I work as a therapist. The work I ask of you I have likely done myself. I get it because in one way or another, I myself have been there. I offer a gentle and caring approach which includes clear boundaries, honest feedback, and consistent attunement. Community and Play When I’m not working I’m often playing in the mountains. I’ve been a climber for over 15 years and I am currently enthralled with trail running. I enjoy dancing in community which sometimes looks like ecstatic dance. I also pop into the local rave scene from time to time. I love the Real Housewives franchise for any Bravo fans :) And I have an orange tabby named Jeff who occasionally appears in my virtual sessions. Education and Training I have a Master’s in Counseling from Naropa University and I’ve completed an 18-month-long internship at Medicine Horse where I received training in Equine-Facilitated Therapy. I incorporate mindfulness, Gestalt, parts work, somatic work, and talk therapy into my practice. Email me to set up a free 15-minute phone consultation.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Being a teen can be really tough. While it’s a time of exploration, growth, and learning, teens are also navigating social pressures, grades, body image, sports, and the not-so-small task of figuring out who they are in the world. As a parent understanding how to support your teen can be a difficult. It might be hard to connect or even have conversation with your child—and all you really want is the best for them. The horses and I can help! Sessions can include grooming, leading, or simply spending time with the animals. We have mini horses, mini donkeys, cats, dogs, and an entire herd of horses ready to connect with your teen. I incorporate horse skills, regulation tools, and mindfulness practices into our sessions. I also give your teen the space to explore what they need, which will benefit the entire system. I occasionally invite caregivers to join us in session so that your teen might have space to share what they need and what they’re going through with you. <image:title>Relationship Counseling - Equine Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>You’re struggling with connection in your life and relationships are proving to be kind of difficult. You really want connection, but you’re not sure how to go about it and sometimes it’s easier to just keep your distance. The risk of rejection is just too great. It’s been hard to step into your power or take control of what’s been going on in your life—you’ve learned to be small or put others’ needs before your own. How can horses help? Horses are hardwired for connection—they’re herd animals! The herd is critical to a horse’s survival in the wild and it’s kind of critical to our survival too. We’ve all heard the phrase, “Pull yourself up by your bootstraps,” but that is physically impossible. Why must we figure everything out on our own? When we spend time with horses we begin to see how they work together to get their needs met. <image:title>Couples Therapy - Couples Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>Relationship can really bring up our “stuff,” and with that can come meaningful, healing moments and really painful ones. It is normal to encounter difficulties in your relationship! And reaching out for support is an opportunity to better get to know your partner and yourself. We can all benefit from learning more sustainable and secure practices when it comes to partnership. How does it work? My work mostly pulls from the PACT model which is an experiential therapy that applies attachment theory, developmental neuroscience, and understanding our nervous system. Together with your partner you will begin to explore ways of cultivating safety and security with one another. You will expand your skills in caring for one another through conflict and begin to create clear agreements in your relationship.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Individual Therapy - Individual Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>I work with folks who are experiencing a variety of challenges. This includes: anxiety depression grief low self-worth relationship struggles chronic shame perfectionism overwhelm Whether these challenges are a result of trauma, neurodivergence, or a particularly activating time in your life (i.e. big changes and transitions), we can start to explore what you may need in order to feel better supported. Getting curious rather than judgmental can help this self-exploration. We develop systems and strategies to survive in this world. Sometimes those systems can become outdated and it’s our job to learn how to update our system. How does it work? I work with folks holistically and from the ground up. This means that we will consider what is happening in our bodies, our nervous system, our mind, our heart, and our spirit. In order to update a system we have to recognize what the system is. I trust and believe that each individual holds a lot of the answers they may be seeking. I also hold that it is my job to provide a sense of safety, consistency, and guidance when needed. I have learned through my own work in the client seat that the relationship with our therapist can be deeply healing. It is also an incredibly vulnerable and intimate process. Trust-building can take time so I often encourage that we move slowly in the beginning. If any of this sounds like a good fit for you email me to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to get started.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Grief Counseling - Grief Counseling</image:title>
<image:caption>First, I want to welcome you. Grief can feel like a beast, a street fight, a never-ending black hole. I know how deeply painful, disorienting, infuriating, and overwhelming this time can be. Oof, it’s just so much. I’m here to tell you that your grief matters, that it is important. And I say this from firsthand experience. Much of our culture shies away from grief and loss. We aren’t taught how to be with these big feelings. I want to share with you what I’ve learned. I also want you to know that you will not always feel this way. That your relationship with grief can change, shift, and move. We can learn to co-exist with our grief rather than push it away. There is no Timeline There are often social pressures and perceived timelines around how grieving should go. We can be quite hard on ourselves during this already difficult time. No matter how long ago your loss occurred, or how deeply you are still hurting your grief is allowed to be here. We grieve as deeply as we love. It needs to be honored and allowed to transform. Whether you are angry, deeply sad, detached, or totally confused, I can handle it all. Read more to learn what sessions are like…</image:caption>

<image:title>Grief Counseling - What do sessions look like?</image:title>
<image:caption>Our sessions can look many different ways. I emphasize meeting you wherever you are in your process. So if you’re sad, that is welcome. If you are angry, let’s explore that. I also find that pacing is really important. Spending time talking about your loss can be relieving. It can also be activating. Finding the balance and resourcing so you can process your big emotions safely is my priority. I incorporate a variety of modalities that include somatic work, parts work, mindfulness exercises, and grounding techniques. Yes, we will have plenty of space to talk, connect, and explore. We will also begin to connect with the body where much of our grief can reside. I offer both in-person and virtual 50-minutes sessions.
